Carpet Beetle Control

Carpet beetle adults are small and inconspicuous, and seldom seen by homeowners. It is the larvae of these beetles that cause damage to fabrics.  The damage caused by them is seen by surface damage to fabric, with various penetrating holes. If penetration is light, damage may be limited to scattered holes, with surrounding surface damage.

The presence of a few, or many, cast larval skins may be present. Their frass may be seen in the form of fine, uniform powder, and the colour may often be the same as the fabric.
