A New Year And A Cleaner, Healthier Home

Jan 28, 2020

We often look at the new year as a fresh start to change everything we dislike about our lives and start afresh. Be it buying a new car, losing weight, finding a new job, or even building your dream home, the new year almost always seems like the right time to work on your goals.

Going through such serious life decisions requires a space of relaxation and tranquillity and what place better than the comfort of your home. We believe that everyone should have a new year’s resolution for a cleaner and healthier home. After all the parties and festivities of the holiday season, what your home needs, is a deep cleaning to return it back to its comfortable and cosy old self.

Let us help you start the new year off with a cleaner and healthier home with these few tips:

The Fridge

Unplug your fridge. Be sure to toss out old, holiday leftovers. Spray the inside of the fridge with a solution of vinegar and water to freshen your fridge. Remove shelves and vegetable drawers and wipe them with a microfiber and an all-purpose cleaner and set them to dry. Wash the inside of your fridge.

The Oven

Mix ½ a cup of baking soda with water to form a paste. Spread the paste all over your oven (avoid heating elements). Leave for a couple of minutes. Spray areas that are tough to clean-up with vinegar – it will react with baking soda and will make the grime easier to remove. Or you can simply use a commercial oven cleaner and wipe with a damp rag.

Cabinets

Take out all the items and clean the cabinets with a cloth and a solution of dish soap and water. Avoid food poisoning by throwing away any expired grains, spices and canned food.

Bathrooms

We all know bathrooms require regular cleaning. In addition, your shower and tub might need extra attention after holiday guests leave. Spray your tiles and grout with a tile cleaner, leave it on for about 5-10 minutes, then scrub the build-up with a brush.

Bedrooms

While you air out your mattress, machine wash your bed linen and pillows with detergent.

Carpets

Carpets have potential to hide dust, dust mites, allergens and pet dander. Regular vacuum cleaning with HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter, (trapping microscopic particles like dust, pet dander and various allergens) will go a long way in preventing you from picking up allergens. Sprinkle baking soda on your carpets to deodorize them.

If you don’t have the time to complete all the cleaning chores in your home, you can always use our professional cleaning services. Contact us today and smile all the way to a cleaner and healthier home!

The reality is, DIY methods may not be as effective in controlling more severe infestations or for dealing with pests that require specialised equipment or expertise to handle.

Professional pest control, on the other hand, takes into consideration the type of pest, the root of the infestation, and subsequent prevention measures to ensure that the pests stay away.

Professional products have specialised active ingredients which target specific pests and their level of immunity. As well as monitoring the site after administering the products, we also return for follow-ups after the service has been rendered.

We take into account the type of site (home/office/warehouse/soil/foundation), size and location that requires pest control. Different sites need different methods. This means that there are a variety of methods and different product concentrations that are suitable for different sites. It’s not just a spray-and-pray-away endeavour. We take time to assess the infestation and find the root of it all to ensure that it doesn’t happen again.

Professional pest control is a holistic service that covers every angle and behaviour of the pests and eradicates them thereafter.
